Laura Linney is an American actor who has become well-known for her performance of vulnerable but strong characters. After spending the summers at the company of her father, Laura Linney became fascinated by theatre. Later she attended Brown University she studied acting as well as at Juilliard School, after which, her career took off. The actress began her Broadway career soon after completing her degree in the year 2000, before making her television debut the following year. Over the past few years, she's appeared in numerous film, TV as well as stage productions. Her nominations include three Academy Awards, five Tony Awards, and four Primetime Emmy Awards (including two Golden Globe Awards), as well as received numerous awards over her time on the stage. But despite the many awards, her passion for theater is still there, and she still performs in the stage and on screen.
