Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four kids born August 9, 1976, in Beaumont Puy of Domme. Audrey Tautou's parents who have a doctor for teeth and a school teacher helped and encouraged her early love for drama and theater. Her initial dream to become a master monkey was eclipsed by her wish to pursue a degree in theater and drama. At the age of a young lady the rise to fame was swift and ended with early recognition and success. It was only in 1999, after which she began acting professionally. Following her studies Tautou took part in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. Tautou went to church and Institut Catholique de Paris during her youth, however she is now separating herself from these upbringings. Modeling and acting are interspersed. Tautou was the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is known as the Chanel Muse. Recently, at Arles Arts Festival, Arles Arts Festival she exhibited an array of photos under the name Superficial. In her photographs, she concentrates on fame and the spotlight. Cameras are focused at journalists, who sat and watched her rise to fame in Amelie. Audrey Tautou's international success and fame soared after her appearance as Amelie Poulain's lead actress in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie received international recognition because of its box-office success. It also received praise in award ceremonies all over the world. Amelie was the highest-rated french-language film to hit the US. The popularity of the film has led to Tautou being cast in a range of roles, including British dramas like Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
