Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast. She has the record of being awarded 10/10 marks during an Olympic performance. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics instructor who later became her coach later on she discovered her when she was six. Her first competition was at the national junior championships in 1969 placing 13th and she was the winner in the year 1970. In 1972, during the communist nations' meet for juniors before the Olympics, she won three medals of gold. After that, in 1973 and 1974 she won the all-around junior champ. When she competed for the first time at the senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva, a Russian athlete, won five gold medals aswell being awarded a silver. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976, becoming the first female to do a backward double salto as dismounting from the uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She started her career in entertainment as a teenager in which she was a part of an ice skating duo along with their sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol was a part of the world of entertainment in her teens. Her first job was as a model skater with her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around named Ice Capades. The shows featured ice skating performances that were followed by musical performances.
